URGENT NEED FOR WATER AND FOOD!
A Christmas Disaster in the Visayas and Mindanao regions of the Philippines on 16 & 17 December 2021. With your help, we will help feed and shelter families today and in the next few weeks while they work on recovering from this tragedy. Typhoon Odette (Rai) swept away many homes across central Philippines. Besides materials for shelter, families need your help most urgently for food and water. Days after this super typhoon hit, there were some remote areas that hadn't seen received survival supplies. No food. No water. No shelter. No electricity. The needs are dire and ongoing. Because of the widespread and numerous needs of the Filipino people, we have already sent some money and activated emergency fund raising. We always make sure that 100% of all of your donations go directly to families who need it.

Many families need your help right away. One family we have heard from, the Baricuatros, need water, food and shelter materials now. We'll plan for a more permanent solution in the near future, but for now let's take care of survival essentials.

Back in 2013, a huge earthquake destroyed the Baricuatro's home in Buenavista, Bohol. We found out about this family of 7 through the Bohol Chamber of Commerce and was happy to rebuild for Joey & Nenneth and their kids. The super typhoon that just struck Bohol in on 17 December 2021 took it all away. The photos below show you how destructive the storm was. They are sheltered under tarps at the moment. Nenneth told me that they had enjoyed their home and worked hard on building an extension. After the typhoon, little Chloe asked her mama, "Where will Tito Bruce and Tito Nelson stay when they come." She was just a baby when we rebuilt their house. It's so sweet and special that she remembers us and wants to have a place for us to stay whenever we go back to see them. We need to rebuild again for this family. The oldest of the children, Kenneth, is in college, but he cannot continue without kind and generous friends like us. Please join us in helping this family

We know of other specific families who will receive our help as soon as we raise more funds. Plus additional help will go to barangays / communities with desperate needs right now for food, water and shelter.
